About Me

Hello! My name is Madisen, but let's just go with Madi for now. If you're wondering what I look like, there is a very striking (and may I say lovely) picture of myself at the bottom of this. In my head I spend my days on hot sandy beaches with the sounds of the ocean waves in the background with a nice, big, romance and adventure-filled novel in my hands. But, alas, my reality is curled up on my purple couch, trying to stay warm in the harsh North Dakota winter. My much-needed escape comes in the shape of books, with pages filled with the words of worlds I wish I could live in.

I was born and raised here in Fargo, ND, which you may have heard of because of extensive flooding, our football team winning the D1 national championship three years in a row, or most notably, the movie and spin-off T.V. series (which do not actually take place in Fargo).  I plan on attending NDSU for zoology and then moving to Florida to live out my dream on the beach. However, until then, I love connecting with other avid book lovers through blogging and other reading-related websites.

I used to pass my time through volleyball, until a few injuries made it impossible to continue during my senior season. Now I spend my time at Dairy Queen, where I am a newly made manager. I also volunteer at two different dog rescues, The Fargo-Moorhead Humane Society and 4 Luv of Dog Rescue. I live in a house with three very loud siblings, under the care of two parents that love each other very much but don't show it publicly very often.

If you met me, you'd probably pick up on my socially awkward vibes. However, I love meeting new people and hearing their life stories. I plan on traveling the world and experiencing as many things as I can. I like to think I'm a pretty adventurous person.

The books I read and review are mostly adventurous, but almost always romantic. To be honest, without the romance, I almost get bored. I like to keep my reviews short and sweet, but from time to time I find that I can't stop my fingers from typing (like now for instance).
