Hello, hello, hello
It has been so long, I've missed you guys. And I'm sorry. I've missed so much time I haven't even been able to go through my feed in months! But I'm back now and can't wait to immerse myself in the blog world. And I can't wait to tell you about these books.

May I just say, Wow. I had very smartly ordered all three of these books at the same time so I had them all when I started reading them and am I glad I did. These books were so amazing I flew through them! As soon as I closed one, I opened the next. I just could not wait to see what happens to Alex and the gang. And that is how these books are meant to be read. They go so fast you don't even notice any time has passed, but that's what makes them so much fun. They're fast, upbeat, and witty. The dialogue is spot on and the reactions are so real I could see myself acting in the same way. I never wanted these to end. They had cliffhangers and action and romance and comedy and- and- and- and- I could go on forever.

The characters? Well, I've always loved Alex. She's witty, and impulsive, and completely lovable. Aiden? Holy daimon babies. Swoon. Insta-love right there. Jeesh, I'm a little jealous of Alex. Then we get to Seth. It's definitely a love-hate relationship with him. One minute I can't get enough of him, the next I want to bash his face into the wall. I guess that's why we love him. One surprise is Deacon. We really get to know him in the last few books and it's very pleasant. He is surprisingly important to Alex and Aiden's relationship.

Overall, these books have definitley made my "Favorites"shelf, and will probably stay up there along with Hush, Hush (Becca Fitzpatrick) and Origin. Once again, Miss Armentrout has proven why she is one of my favorite authors. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next.

Pure

Title: Pure (Covenant #2)
Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout
Release Date: April 3rd, 2012
Rating: 5/5

If you've read my previous post, you would know that I had read Half-Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout, and you would know my absolute love for her books. I mentioned that I was reading it to refresh myself for the next book in the Covenant series, Pure. I finished it in about two seconds and may I just say, it absolutely did not disappoint. I'm pretty sure I just sat down and could not get back up until I was through with it. It's all a little blurry. It was that good. Holy Mary, I'm still reeling from that adventure.

Pure had me jumping with excitement every page. It was stunning, exciting, and heartbreaking. It continues the story right where it left off in Half-Blood with Aiden, Seth, and Alex and it's as emotionally taxing as a nuclear bomb blowing up in the center of my soul. This is one book you do not want to miss ladies and gentlemen. I cannot wait to continue this series and see where it leads. This is all I'm going to say about the ending: "ajhgjiahhljygfklalaieyigAGIUGNBpha." That is all.

Stay tuned for the next adventure.

Until next time, keep reading.

Half-Blood

Title: Half-Blood
Author: Jennifer L. Armentrout
Release Date: October 18th, 2011
Rating: 5/5

Greetings to all you fellow readers alike.
(Yes, I indulge in a cheesy greeting every once in a while)

Like the rest of you, my to-read pile has been growing and growing. It seems like it never ends, and that's the way I like it. I'm working my way through it and the book I'm devouring today is a re-read of Half-Blood  by Jennifer L. Armentrout in preparation for reading the second book in the series, Pure.

I can just tell you straight off that Jennifer L. Armentrout is one of my all-time favorite authors. She writes books that demand your full attention and setting them down is just not something you do. Half-Blood is no exception. Every time I crack it open I'm sucked back in. And I love it.

If you've read the Lux series, you will definitely adore the Covenant series. Again, she creates the perfect, witty, smart ass guy and pairs him with the perfect protagonist that every girl can relate to. However, in each book the plot, elements, and characters are always pleasantly different. Armentrout sure knows what she's doing when creating a masterpiece like this. If you enjoyed The Vampire Academy by Rachelle Mead, then you will definitely  dive straight into this one.

There's danger, romance, humor, tragedy, and surprise around every corner. I have nothing but compliments for Miss Armentrout. I praise the ideas she creates and the words she types. And so will you once you read this book. Enjoy!

Until next time, keep reading!

The Burning Sky

Title: The Burning Sky
Author: Sherry Thomas
Release Date: September 17th, 2013
Rating: 3.5/5

Hello Everyone!
Sorry it's been a few weeks. It takes me awhile to gather my thoughts.

I just finished reading The Burning Sky by Sherry Thomas and may I just say, wow. I did not see that coming at all. I was a little skeptical when I added it on my to-read list on Goodreads (feel free to add me). However, I put it at the top of my (very) long list of books to read and dug in.

When I started, it took awhile to get into. Sure, the story started off right away, and that was nice but the writing style seemed a little off to me. Then I figured it out. The style was a mix of a piece written between now and the 1800's. It wasn't difficult, just a little too proper for my taste.

About 50 pages in I got used to the language and actually got into the story. BOOM! Instant love. I was sucked into this magical world where dragons are real and magic was a common thing to use. The story plot? Amazing. The characters? Instantly lovable. The elements? Wish they were real. Humor? In every other page. Romance? Don't worry guys, it's definitely there.

I also enjoyed the fact that the romance was in the book, not surrounding it. It was more subtle than your average romance. The main genre was adventure, and what an adventure it was. It was exciting, passionate, challenging, and overall enjoyable.

The Burning Sky had me biting my nails, jumping in excitement, and laughing hysterically.

Hold onto your dragons Ladies and Gentlemen, I definitely suggest you take a ride on this one.

Until next time, Keep Reading!

Out of Breath

Title: Out of Breath
Author: Rebecca Donovan
Rating: 3/5

My last post was about a series of books I have been reading by Rebecca Donovan. I finally finished a few days ago with the last one, Out of Breath. I've looked at other people's reviews on this book and I've seen both positive and negative things on it so I decided I'd have to find out for myself.

These were the type of books where I love them when I'm reading them, but later I don't know if I would go back. I did think the first had a good story, but then by the second and third I was a little bored with it. Sure, new things were happening, but it seemed like they went on forever. I think that's why it took me so unusually long to get through them. To sum these books up, Reason to Breathe was all about abuse and trying to get along. Barely Breathing was about violence, alcohol abuse, and how to escape. Out of Breath was mainly about trying to find oneself again and letting people back in.

There were some parts in the third book that I was disappointed about, I will admit. Some - no, make that Most - of the protagonists choices were very detrimental. She was in this black hole and didn't even try to get out until a certain someone walks back into her life. She starts drinking, and spending the night with random strangers, and have a friend-with-benefits thing that totally confused me. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for the emotionally-corrupt-female lead in a book, but this was just downright sad. Probably because she changes SO drastically from one book to the next. That can, however, be a benefit to the series. It keeps things interesting and  the suspense flowing.

Overall, though it may not seem like it from this post, I did enjoy these books. They were a good read that really helped me appreciate what I have and the people in my life. I need to stop taking advantage of the relationships I have in my life and let more people in. I think we all need this. So, if you want to check these books out, I definitely recommend it.

Until next time, keep reading!

Reason to Breathe

Title: Reason to Breathe
Author: Rebecca Donovan
Rating: 4/5
Hey guys! Sorry it's been awhile, but I've been busy with school starting back up. Anyways, you haven't missed much. the only book I've really had a chance to enjoy is Reason to Breathe by Rebecca Donovan.

This book really captured me. I'm always up for a mistreated, abused protagonist and this book really nailed it on the head (no pun intended). The violence kept me on my toes, the romance kept me warm, and the growth of the characters really took my breath away. This is a very emotional read that made me question some choices in life; how easy do I really have it? It's books like this that always make me appreciative of what I have (don't tell my parents though: I need to keep up my teenager-don't-care attitude).

I definitely recommend this book, but be ready for some late nights. I spend an entire day on the couch with it. It had me laughing at times, and almost crying at others (it really takes a lot for me to cry during a book, it's only happened once). I'm in the middle of the second book of the series (Barely Breathing) and I can't wait to start the third installment, Out of Breath.

Let me know what you guys think of it! I can't wait to hear back from you!

Life of Pi Review

Title: Life of Pi
Author: Yann Martel
Rating: 4/5

Recently I finished reading Life Of Pi by Yann Martel, and surprisingly it was a GREAT book. Now, ever since I had to read The Man and the Sea and various other stranded-on-a-boat stories, I'm not a huge fan of this kind of novel, but this one is different.

I love the beginning where he talks about zoology and religion. That really spoke to me. Even when he is on the boat with nothing to do he makes it interesting. Once I got halfway through I couldn't put it down. It was full of surprises and made me question many different ideas about humanity and the animal kingdom.

I hope you guys enjoy this book as much as I did. It really was a very good summer read, even for a hopeless paranormal romancer like myself.

By the way: The movie was pretty great too ;)
Until next time, Keep Reading!

Origin Release!

Origin is coming out in just a few short weeks! For those of you who don't know, Origin is the fourth installment in the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout, and may I just calmly say, THEY ARE AMAZING! I love them so much. I feel extremely bad for people who haven't read them, and even worse for people who have never heard of them.

I'm not kidding people, these books are a must read for any paranormal/alien romance lovers for a number of reasons:
1. They are amazing
2. Main Character is extremely relatable, with her witty comebacks, to her love for books and blogging.
3. They are extremely amazing
4. Swoon worthy opposite character (Daemon)
5. Really, they're amazing
6. Aliens!

Whatever reason you choose, these books are an absolute must read. I'm serious, we can't be friends until you read them. If you're not in it for the aliens (highly unlikely) then you should defiantly be into them for the totally swoon-worthy romance between Daemon and Katy or as he calls her, Kitten (excuse me while I faint). It's full of you-know-you-shouldn't-love-him lust and danger. Who are we kidding? We all love that. Anything with a bad-boy, and I'm hooked, and this book is definitely no exception.

Anyways, back to the topic. The fourth one is coming out on August 27th and I can't take it any longer! I've been waiting for over a year for this book, and from what I hear, it is definitely worth it. So, again with my impatient nature, I made a countdown, over by the Mortal Instruments countdown. Also, make sure to check out the poll! Can't wait to see what you guys think!

I'm now on BlogLovin'

Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones the MOVIE!

You guys, I am so excited for this movie. I've been a fan of the books ever since the first one came out and I borrowed it from a friend. I now have every Mortal Instruments and Infernal Device book. I absolutely love them all. I'm normally not a fan of movies made from books, but this is one of the very few I am excited to watch.

If you haven't read the books, I suggest you do. You are forbidden from the internet until you have read them.

As you can see, I am a huge fan, and because of my impatient personality, I have made a countdown! You can see it right next to the poll (make sure you check that out too!).

I'm excited! You can expect more posts about the subject later, but until then, stay calm my fellow Shadow hunters. The movie is almost here!

Welcome!

Dear Readers,
Welcome to my Blog! I'm very excited to get started on this. I've always wanted to have the courage to start a blog and now I've finally done it! I'm going to try my hardest to make it the best I can.

I'm going to base my blog about my passion for books. It will feature reviews on my favorite books, books I've read, upcoming events and news for books. It's going to be tricky, but I've got to try at some point!

As you can (probably) tell, I'm not a woman of may words. My posts will be short, sweet, and to the point. Just how I (and hopefully you) like them.

Enjoy!
